This information is supplementary to my posting about water metering in general and refers specifically to the situation at El Alto.

El Alto seems to be unique. It was built prior to Taylor Woodrow’s involvement at Los Arqueros. Additionally, access to fit meters outside individual properties is restricted and may not be large enough to accommodate a water meter at present. The president of the community has spoken with Aguas de Benahavis who will commission a special study of the issues.
